All manuscripts submitted to JCF undergo a single-anonymous peer review process.
- Paper Submission — The corresponding or submitting author uploads the manuscript via the journal's online submission system.
- Initial Editorial Check — The Editorial Office verifies compliance with the Author Guidelines, including formatting and plagiarism policy. Non-compliant papers are returned for revision.
- Editor-in-Chief — The EIC evaluates the manuscript for scope, originality, and merit, and may reject it at this stage.
- Assignment to Handling Editor — Suitable manuscripts are assigned to a Handling Editor and sent to at least two independent expert reviewers.
- Peer Review — Reviewers independently assess the manuscript and recommend accept, revise, or reject.
- Editorial Decision — The Handling Editor evaluates all reviews and decides. Possible outcomes: accept without revision, accept with revision, or reject.
- Decision Notification — Authors receive the decision with anonymized reviewer comments.
- Final Step — Accepted papers proceed to production; revised manuscripts may be re-reviewed as needed.
JCF adheres to the COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines. Decisions are based on importance, originality, clarity, validity, and relevance to the journal scope.
